Alternating Supermans

Alternating Supermans | Nichole Mellison

Another great exercise for  your core is alternating supermans. They are made even more effective when performed on the unstable surface of the AbStar Core Trainer.

Stretching out with opposite hand and foot while balancing on the AbStar AIR on your stomach is not easy, but is very effective for strengthening your core as well as your glutes, shoulders, hamstrings, and lower back. It’s a great overall exercise. Move slowly with purpose and awareness through each movement. Feel each muscle as it works and feel your abdomen as it rests on top of the AbStar AIR. As the surface below you moves, your muscles will need to fire automatically to help you maintain balance. There’s no thinking, just reacting to the slight movements of the unstable surface.

This type of training is helpful to train the body to maintain body awareness and body balance. it’s incredibly effective and efficient. There’s no lost time as you work many muscles at once.
